Today I got to do something awesome. Our local library has started a program to help parents teach their babies Sign Language. I taught Zachary ASL when he was younger, so I volunteered to help out with the program. Well, the two ladies who run the Story Time have been over-taxed with their duties so they leaped on the opportunity to have someone else take over one of the classes.
So Today was my first day. Zachary stayed at home with Daddy and Grandma, and I taught all the new mommies how to say “Bath”, “Clean”, “Wash”, and “Dirty”. We did a lovely story called “Baby-Berry Pie” and had loads of fun.
The story time generally attracts about 5-10 people and has only been in progress a few months now. But today, instead of 10 people, there were 36! But, even with such a full class, we had loads of fun and the mommies (and one daddy) had questions and learned a lot.
The Ladies loved the way I did it, so I get to take over the class for the rest of the year. Its only every other week, but it is gonna be so cool!
